How to Make Flourless Banana Bread

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper to make removing the bread easier after baking.

Step 2: Mash the Bananas

  1. Place the ripe bananas in a large bowl.
  2. Mash them with a fork until smooth. A few small banana pieces are okay and will add extra texture.

Step 3: Add the Wet Ingredients

  1. Add eggs, honey or maple syrup, milk, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas.
  2. Mix well until everything is combined.

Step 4: Blend the Oats

  1. Add rolled oats to a blender or food processor.
  2. Blend until the oats become a fine powder.
  3. Add the blended oats to the banana mixture.

Step 5: Add the Remaining Ingredients

  1. Add cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Mix gently until combined.
  3. Do not overmix the batter.
  4. If you are adding chocolate chips or nuts, fold them in gently.

Step 6: Add Batter to the Pan

  1. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  2. Spread the top evenly.
  3. Add a few banana slices on top if you like.

Step 7: Bake

  1. Bake for 45–50 minutes.
  2. Insert a toothpick into the center. If it comes out clean or with a few crumbs, the banana bread is ready.

Step 8: Cool and Serve

  1. Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes.
  2. Transfer it to a cooling rack and allow it to cool before slicing.
  3. Serve warm or at room temperature.
